passing the baton
091009. A-night 2009.
handing over to the next blessed generation of Committee- all 9 of them plus the Trinity= 12, the number for perfect administration. i am excited!
the night was less emotional that i thought. nothing bad about that… just that i had imagined it differently… but perhaps knowing that i will be hanging around for the next year makes a difference. the latter will be greater. Amen
it feels… like how i perceived giving birth is like. watching the women ‘expel’ the baby which she has been carrying for 9 months (normally)… and having to trust that the baby will grow well, because ultimately the baby grows up to a child to an adolescent to an adult.. and s/he makes her/his own choices.
once again medicine has come to be a good analogy-ist.
This song was a gift from the incoming comm to us:
“It’s been a long two years.
It’s time to smile we’ve made it this far just like you said.
Just like you said we would.
There are no more tears.
We’ve used them all so now we’ll rely on our laughter,
And the faith that pain gives joy.
I hope that you can see the strength that pulled us through
Is now passed on to me I need to wear it like you always do.
Like you always do.
This far from home,
It doesn’t feel as far when I know you’re doing well.
Distance is what you make it.
The distance is what you make it.
I hope that you can see the strength that pulled us through
Is now passed on to me I wear it like you always do.
I hope that you can see the strength that pulled us through
(I hope that you can see the strength that pulled us through)
Is now passed on to me I wear it like you always do.
(Is now passed on to me)
Like you always do.
I hope that you can see the strength that pulled us through
(I hope that you can see the strength that pulled us through)
Is now passed on to me I wear it like you always do.
(Is now passed on to me)
I hope that you can see the strength that pulled us through’
(I hope that you can see the strength that pulled us through)
Is now passed on to me I need to wear it like you always do.
(Is now passed on to me)
Like you always do.”- Copeland

“You are high and lifted up,
More than anything
All creation lifts you higher and higher
We shout this song of victory
We’d keep singing
In Jesus, there’s freedom”- planetshakers

…. and a new beginning.
wednesday.
“Tear down the walls see the world
Is there something we have missed
Turn from ourselves
Look beyond
There is so much more than this
And I don’t need to see it to believe it
I don’t need to see it to believe it
Cause I can’t shake this
Fire deep inside my heart
Look to the skies hope arise
See His majesty revealed
More than this life there is love
There is hope and this is real
Cause I don’t need to see it to believe it
I don’t need to see it to believe it
Cause I can’t shake this fire burning
Deep inside my heart
This life is Yours and hope is rising
As Your glory floods our hearts
Let love tear down these walls
That all creation would
Come back to You
It’s all for You
Your Name is glorious
Glorious
Your love is changing us
Calling us
To worship in spirit and in truth
As all creation returns to You
Oh for all the sons and daughters
Who are walking in the darkness
You are calling us to lead them back to You
We will see Your spirit rising
As the lost come out of hiding
Every heart will see this hope we have in You”- hillsongunited
“For Christ’s love compels us…” 2 Cor 5:14

hope… it is so powerful. and that hope is only in Christ, apart from Him, there is nothing.. no-thing, nada.
today i heard a sad story about GKJ, her parents and ICU… her story from before she came, the long struggle already at such a young age… and how her parents seemed to have already lost all hope. i havent met them yet but while at KS tonight, i prayed for them, that God will continue to remind them of His love, His mercy and His love.
ICU= “I see you.”
