lessons along the way

what are You teaching me today?

wednesday.

“Tear down the walls see the world
Is there something we have missed
Turn from ourselves
Look beyond
There is so much more than this

And I don’t need to see it to believe it
I don’t need to see it to believe it
Cause I can’t shake this
Fire deep inside my heart

Look to the skies hope arise
See His majesty revealed
More than this life there is love
There is hope and this is real

Cause I don’t need to see it to believe it
I don’t need to see it to believe it
Cause I can’t shake this fire burning
Deep inside my heart

This life is Yours and hope is rising
As Your glory floods our hearts
Let love tear down these walls
That all creation would
Come back to You
It’s all for You

Your Name is glorious
Glorious
Your love is changing us
Calling us
To worship in spirit and in truth
As all creation returns to You

Oh for all the sons and daughters
Who are walking in the darkness
You are calling us to lead them back to You
We will see Your spirit rising
As the lost come out of hiding
Every heart will see this hope we have in You”- hillsongunited

“For Christ’s love compels us…” 2 Cor 5:14

hope… it is so powerful. and that hope is only in Christ, apart from Him, there is nothing.. no-thing, nada.

today i heard a sad story about GKJ, her parents and ICU… her story from before she came, the long struggle already at such a young age… and how her parents seemed to have already lost all hope. i havent met them yet but while at KS tonight, i prayed for them, that God will continue to remind them of His love, His mercy and His love.

ICU= “I see you.”

Praise points for today!
- my Reg shared that she also went to Uganda for her medical elective and would be happy to give some pointers! the both of them have been so kind to me over the last few days. im blessed
- my consultant ALSO knows someone who is a doctor based in Uganda who is Ugandan himself and is happy to pass along T’s contact details… we might also be even be able to bring ‘supplies’ over. how exciting!

- the wardround was fantastic! i actually contributed something more useful than a question! :D
- not only that, he also agreed to write a nice reference for me! :D praise God!! :)
- and i got to sit in on my very first GenMed Clinic ever

DiT! (doctor in training!)

i love my job. well, of course it’s not a job job- but it is what im doing for the season.

i actually like getting up at around 530am and getting ready so that i can comfortably make it in time for the ward round at 730.

i like riding the bike- even though i got caught in the rain just. (it’s interesting when there is a perspective change and the assurance that God’s placed you where you are for a reason)

im scaredpetrified of being questioned and yet that kinda drives me to want to learn more and acutally remember.. or try to:)

but today was one of the best! one of the consultants allowed me to scrub in and assist in TWO surgeries. i got a REALLY good experience and i thank God for it… :) although i still have to brush up on my scrubbing up quickly skill

it’s a happyhappyjoyjoy feeling. :) im off to do some research (happily!)
